I started DJing around the Somerset area about fifteen years ago in 1995. I stopped in 1999 due to buying a pub and making that a full time carer. Although I couldn't DJ, I still liked to keep up to date with the current music scene as well as the old skool classics.
I have recently sold the lease on the pub and am getting back into the DJing again. I have played a couple of large fun pub /student type venues in Bristol. I am on a break from a regular Saturday night slot at the Bishops in Cheltenham road,Bristol.
My style of music is mainly comercail, funky house and old skool. Other music styles include, Funk, Soul and R&B. I will always play to the crowed, producing a mix of funky dance classics from the past twenty years.
I use a mix of CDJs and lap top to produce my mix: Lap top to provide back up and choice if needed and CDJs because I enjoy the satisfaction I get from beat matching two great tunes! I will try to put a mix together at home on CD format then tweek it to the needs of the crowd by mixing in a couple of tracks from the lap top.
