Music Description and Mixing Style I am highly skilled in mixing techniques and scratching etc but do not find as much call or need for such techniques in the DJ work i am currently engaged in, but will always mix a few tracks together and use effects etc if playing in a bar as it simply sets 'you' apart from those other DJs who are simplistic..which just gives the impression that the DJ is actually being paid to DO something more than fade one track into the next.
the music i play is highly diverse, but strichtly speaking, if i was booked for a large party or club night my style would be along the lines of 'Jackin' Chicago house, soulful breaks/tech-house/electro etc. However i enjoy the regular work i do at a bar in leeds called Carpe Diem, where on Fridays i play a lot of metal and rock, mixed in with the usual bar fodder, and uplifting and well known tracks on wednesdays, e.g. Mr scruff, LCD soundsystem, Beck, St Germain etc.
Mixing Style Professionally mix music (includes scratching, effects and tricks).
Music formats CD, Vinyl
Microphone Etiquette Little mic experience, but will give it a go.
