New and old Indie tunes smashed up with classic Rock'n'Roll, Mod and alternative anthems!
So that's the catchy one-liner. Now, why not read the FULL story and get a better idea...
VOLUME ONE
EARLY YEARS 1986-2002
Jim Harrington first started DJ’ing back in 1986 with a suitcase deck bought by his folks and spent the next few years doing mobile discos wherever and whenever he could. He also was the warm up DJ for a popular teen club night in his Essex hometown (well, he was young himself!)
Fast forward to 2000 and, armed with a box of funky retro tunes, Jim secured a try-out at Timepiece Nightclub in Exeter where he was living at the time. One successful evening later (due in no small part to a passing go-go dancer who stepped up on stage and shimmied for 3 hours) Jim had a residency on his hands.
"The Lounge", as the night was known quickly developed into a funky, Hammond organ fuelled trip through Cool Britannia with detours into (sixties) R&B, soundtrack favourites, kitsch, garage & psych, Mod and a bit of Northern Soul.
You could always expect a fair few classics (Kinks, Stones, Beatles) as well.
VOLUME TWO
MANCHESTER TO GLASTONBURY 2002-2008
Jim packed his record bag and moved North in 2002, settling in Manchester where he DJ’ed with some of the top Manchester movers and shakers including Tom Hingely and Clint Boon (Inspiral Carpets) and Mike Joyce (The Smiths) before being invited to perform at several festivals (Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, Beautiful Days) as part of the world famous Pussy Parlure in 2007.
Jim returned to Glastonbury to open up the Dance Lounge in June 2008 and also played again for The Pussy Parlure at The Glade Festival in July -even planning the soundtrack for some burlesque dancers!
Between 2004 - 2006, Jim also ran a sporadic club night "Lazy Sunday" in the super cool surroundings of Corbieres cellar bar in Manchester as well as providing the sounds for several instore promotions for the Fred Perry store in Police Street.
Jim also played in several other bars in Manchester providing an eclectic mix that ranged from The Beatles to Blur, classic house/techno to old school 80's soul. Anything and everything was thrown into the mix to provide a distinctive soundtrack to the evening...
VOLUME THREE
IN RESIDENCE 2006 onwards
In October 2006, Jim started two residencies; one in ARUBA, Doncaster and ESCOBA, Oldham where he played a mix of classic Indie, Britpop, Rock, mashups and the odd classic rave track (!)
All good things, however, come to an end and when the bars changed both management and music policy, Jim's services were no longer needed...
VOLUME FOUR

Jim is now available for one-off bookings and residencies anywhere in the UK and Europe.
