Before becoming a mobile DJ I had been a DJ for several bars in Bolton. The first job as a DJ was held in 2007 at Diamonds located on Bank Street. After about 7 month I was asked to cover the resident DJ at Vogue as he was located to another bar by the management for a short period of time.

Rockafellas on Bradshawgate was closed for a while but then new management took over in 2008 and from the first night it opened I was the resident DJ. Playing every genre of music Rockafellas become very busy every night. Unfortunately the management decided to pull the plug on the business several months later and for reasons unknown.

Rockafellas then opened again in 2009 under new management. They opened with a DJ but then gave me the chance to prove I was capable for the position. First playing 70's and 80's progressing to modern R 'n' B and Dance with the occasional Bounce/Scouse at the end of the night.

In between all these positions I had done private parties with my old equipment and a laptop which was very basic equipment. Now I own the latest equipment which provides a more responsive and clear sound than my old equipment.

Whilst purchasing this equipment the idea of becoming a mobile DJ popped into my head. I put my idea into action in May 2010.

In the first week of becoming a mobile DJ for the Bolton area I had 2 bookings. One of them was a 50th birthday party which was held on the 21st May 2010 located at The Milestone on Bank Street, the second was a 70th birthday party held on the 22nd May 2010 located at Smudges on St Georges Rd.

Music Description and Mixing Style

I mainly play dance/house/electro with occasional scouse/bounce beat matching all the time. If I am using equipment with DSP effects they will be used whilst beat matching. I enjoy using the spin back functions and loop systems.

I also play R n B and only mix a few of these together. At parties I play everything that is required from the organisers of the parties.

Detailed Equipment Description

I currently own 2 LED scanners which are move to the sound but can also be linked by DMX cable. I also own 1 duo moonflower LED light which concentrate on the centre of the dancfloor whilst the other others move around.

All this equipment is brand new bought in July 2010.
