Started Djing aged 16, after first going to nightclubs and hearing the quality house music being played i thought to myself "yes i will have some of that" after speaking to some established local djs at the time i discovered that if i was to purchase decks then technics 1210's were they way forwrad, i saved every penny i had to get a pair of technics and when i finally did, spent every living minute honing my craft and perfecting my style. At the age of 19 a cousin of mine decided (behind my back) to enter me into the pure vinyl Dj championships, the first heat was in liverpool and was to be judged by Mike di scala of ULTRABEAT after tussling with my nerves i decided to give it a go and played my first gig outside of my bedroom, suprisingly after a few minutes i was into my groove, relaxed and having the time of my life, so much so that when the winner was announced i had to be slapped as it was me who was chosen by the judges. i then represented liverpool in the pure vinyl dj regional championships to be held in harrogate. there were 12 djs on the night each playing a half hour slot each, i could feel my set going smoothly and was feeling good vibes from the crowd, suprisingly i won this 1 aswell, and was given a 1 year contract with fox events which involved a couple of gigs although not as many as i would have liked, one benefit being that i got to play a couple of gigs outside liverpoolin which i must say the crowds were more appreciative of the music. after playing set after set each weekend, i was offered a day job teaching DJing and promotion 12 unit course @ creative music college liverpool, i thoughroly enjoyed this and met some interesting characters along the way, in the end i felt this was not helping my development as i was on the decks day and night, so scared of becoming fed up, decided to leave and take a job elsewhere. i have played and promtoed numerous events and was behind one of liverpools most popular afterhours nights known then as "2 LACED @ TEMPLES BAR". I am now looking to broaden my horizons and looking for opportunities to play as many gigs as possible... thanks BISCO DISCIT
